Creative Fitness for Goddess Bodies

Laura Keefe (lu) and Kristie Hamm (Kieara) will be leading an Intensive sponsored by Great Lakes Madison I WTI group titled Creative Fitness for Goddess Bodies.

Can fitness be sacred? Absolutely! All women's bodies are bodies of the Goddess. We are all wonderful different shapes, sizes, colors, and ages, and all of our variances are part of the Goddess.

In this fun, engaging Intensive, we will honor the Goddess and ourselves through movement. A wide variety of fitness related workshops will be offered, and there will be a great balance of active and seated classes. Women of all fitness levels and abilities are encouraged to come together in a supportive, non-judgmental space and explore sacred movement to their comfort level.

This Intensive is suitable for WTI participants in any Cycle. It is also a creative way to learn about the importance of keeping Goddess-Women healthy and whole. This Intensive will be covering Movement Awareness & Fitness, a topic that has not has not been previously offered.

Laura Keefe (lu) is a Cella Cycle III student on the Ritualist, Healer and Creatrix Paths. She won't sit still for long, and enjoys a varied active lifestyle that includes yoga, biking, dancing, Budokon (a combination of yoga and martial arts), weightlifting, hiking and gardening. She is also quite uncoordinated, but doesn't let that get in her way because she loves to try new things and express herself through movement.

Kristie Hamm (Kieara) is a Cella Cycle III student on the Healer and Creatrix paths. She is also a Registered Nurse. She enjoys staying active by participating in Belly Dance, swimming, weightlifting, camping and gardening. She remains active in her Goddess body, not letting sizeism stand in her way!

The closest airport to our location is Dane County Regional Airport. There are several motels nearby. Please see the registration form for information on community housing and transportation. The cost of this Intensive is $65 for registrations received by 3/1/12. Registrations received after that date will cost $75. Registration closes 4/1/12. Simple, healthy refreshments will be available to participants. Full meals and lodging are not included.
