Announcing a New Goddess/Feminist PressCreatrix Books, LLC is a woman-owned and operated independent publishing company established in the greater Madison, Wisconsin area. Our business manager is Carol (Kvayn) Marshall, a long-time RCGI woman who recently graduated from the Great-Lakes (formerly Madison 1) Cella group. Our production and marketing manager is Kassandra (Kat) Sojourner, an RCGI ordained Priestess. Our vision is to provide Goddess and Her daughters with a voice through the written word. We publish both fiction and non-fiction books of Goddess works. We are committed to working personally with our authors, helping them develop writing skills for a long-term relationship. Creatrix Resource Library is our non-fiction line. We look for high quality, carefully researched works, especially those pertaining to ancient and modern Goddess culture with an eye towards revival of Her traditions. We welcome academically based books with references, notes and indices. We publish our non-fiction books primarily in the fall. Creatrix Vision-Spun Fiction is our fiction line. We look for excellent writing skills coupled with a Goddess and/or spiritually feminist plot lines. We publish our fiction books primarily in the spring. Our first 3 titles are available this fall and early winter. Seasons of the Witch, 3rd ed. by Patricia Monaghan is a fabulous resource for teachers, ritualists, and any one who desires to bring a meaningful reading to her spiritual gatherings. It is a book filled with fun, lusty, lively poems to Goddess in Her many forms. This 3rd edition adds a useful thematic table of contents to enable the reader to easily find their favorite poems, a wonderful double CD set by Arctic Siren Productions setting Pat’s poetry to gorgeous music and intricate mandala artwork by RCGI Goddess-woman, Sid Reger. US retail price is $23.75 Tying the Knot by Jade River is a gender-neutral guide to handfastings and weddings for Pagans and Goddess worshippers. Jade describes in plain language exactly how to plan a Pagan wedding. She includes multitudes of fun, informative tips and trivia, including the origins of traditional dress, how to tell if a particular Priest/ess is right for your ceremony, and how to deal with non-pagan family and friends. She dispenses practical money-saving advice so your handfasting can be exquisitely beautiful and yet not send you into bankruptcy. US retail price is $12.95 Wild Girls, 2nd edition by Patricia Monaghan is a year and a day workbook for young women and not-so-young women who relate to the Wild Maiden Goddess. Each chapter begins with a story of a Maiden Goddess from a different world culture. Then, the chapter expounds upon a related lesson such as building an altar, creating basic healing charms, finding a power animal, keeping a spiritual diary, and creating a Wild Girl group. Finally, this edition adds fun lined journal pages for the Wild Girl reader to document her experiences as she does the exercises and answers questions posed by the author. Wild Girls is a treasure-trove of information and wisdom for Maidens of all ages. US retail price is $15.95.
