2006 is an 8 Year

I have always been fascinated by numbers and what they mean to us.

If you add up the numbers in a year, the total reduced to one digit, provides an interesting energetic. All of us will be governed by the number 8 and then will flavor it with our own birth day and month numbers. (Year + month + day = your personal energetic for this coming year).

In our own spiritual practices, the 8 represents the wheel of the year with 8 High Holy Days. In Tarot, the 8 is either on a Strength card or the Justice card, depending upon the deck. The eight month of any year is ruled by the zodiac sign of Leo.

If you are born on the 8th of any month, it is said that you are extremely aware of your personal power and resist most methods of control or judgment by others. People born on an 8 day are responsible leaders, have a purpose in life and set goals to gain money and influence the changing tides of life.

The number itself looks like the infinity sign standing upright. The universal meaning for an 8 is often material success and worldliness as well as something solid and complete. Some say it is the joining of heaven and earth. Depending upon your cosmology, you can envision an 8 as either an opposition of things or the polarity of those two things.

I think we can use numbers in changing our life templates in a very positive way.

We go through a 9-year cycle of numbers in which our thinking, our ways of acting and interacting change as we grow spiritually. Every year brings with it some benefits and ease or some real challenges.

Calculate your birth month, birth date and 2006 for the coming year. Reduce those numbers to one digit. For instance, if your birth date is August 18, you will add 8+18+2006 =2032 = 2+3+2 = 7 or 8+1+8+2+6 =25 = 2+5 = 7. Either way you add the numbers, you reduce them to a single digit for your personal year energetic.

Our global year is going to be an 8.

Your personal year can be one of the following 9 energies.
